I met Mike Tuberdyck of West Seneca in 1988. A fellow photographer, Mike was a professional who taught me the ins and outs of wedding photography. This genre kept me

afloat financially for the following 15 years.

On July 2, 2025, Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

With the blessing of Mike and his wife, Marilyn, I documented his last days as a tribute to our friendship. We met through photography, so why not depart through photography?

Marilyn suggested that publishing photos of his final days might help others navigate difficult times and understand the beauty of a person’s last journey. Both graciously allowed me access to their personal moments.

I had hoped for more time, but fate allowed me just 11 days.

Rest in peace, my friend.
